From Pen to Pillars – Designing Experience Center

I was thrilled and excited when asked to Ideate, design and execute something that hasn’t been done before in real estate. It wasn’t easy but challenging, yes I am talking about India’s 1st and only Experience Center dedicated to real estate.


It all started a couple of months back with an idea of shortening home buying journey for prospective buyers, minimized legwork and giving them a jaw-dropping immersive experience of properties without an actual site visit.

Some Insights:
– Current Home Buying Cycle: 3/4 Months.
– Average no. of property visits: 10-12
– No Hands on experience until possession
– Time taking: buying property has always been a family affair


Behind the scene – Design Philosophy:
Before we begin, let’s talk about the design philosophy. We did two months of research both online/offline and finally agreed upon an idea of having a center which is futuristic, fluidic and innovative. We always wanted to be ahead of market hence this design approach.

User Persona – Ecosystem:
The aim was to serve buyer need and answer queries irrespective of their Persona and the stage where they are at in a home buying cycle. At a broad level we divided the buyers need in three buckets:

Explore from 14Lac+ property options & find your dream home
Decide projects & check price trends with our smart tools
Enquire what’s best for you with financial & legal advice, loan calculators & more

And hence “Match My Need” zone was born where one can search, shortlist and research their property needs. It’s a powerhouse with answers to almost every query a buyer may have.


Immersive Experience:
By now buyer would have shortlisted properties and “Match my need” had answered every queries, but tremendous legwork is still a pain.

The Solutions:
Virtual Reality: 360-degree immersive view of projects/properties
Augmented Reality: A real world composite view of properties.
Sneak Peek: Hi-Definition property videos and exclusive previews
Video Wall: Experience properties on 80-inch video wall with your family and friends.

The center is future ready and is packed with some of the best technology available today.

Installation is live at “Magicbricks WEH Metro Statio – Mumbai” and worth visiting for anyone and everyone planning to venture into property buying.
